For our second anniversary, we wanted to find our biggest fan and give them their 15 minutes of fame. The rules were simple. Visit our website and tell us why you love Erie Life Magazine. The response was overwhelming, and we were flooded with submissions touting affection for Erie Life. Some were bittersweet, some were comical, some were downright bizarre. But in the end it was Susan Elizabeth Anton’s entry we all agreed was the best.
“Many friends have said I should write a book, because I’ve had such an interesting life,” says Susan, who was born and raised in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Her life has taken her down many interesting paths. She has been a disc jockey at a Pittsburgh night club, a freelance writer, a friend to animals, a beauty pageant winner, and an actress. “I have been on television and in one movie,” says Susan. “I auditioned for The Deer Hunter for a part as a bridesmaid. The Casting Director told me I was too pretty, so I always joke that Meryl Streep should thank me for her acting career.” Now Susan is ready for her next role in life – being Erie Life Magazine’s biggest fan!
