Ever had days when you feel the need for an extra push?
It could be that you’re only tired, or maybe, you have an idea, but you don’t know where to start. That’s only normal. But there are ways to help you keep going.
Here are some of them:
1. Read a book.
No, it doesn’t necessarily have to be a motivational self-help book. You could always read something in which you could identify yourself with and drive inspiration from it. Better yet, ask recommendations from your friends.
2. Select a mantra and live it.
Weaving a group of words to inspire you can be healing. It helps more if you chant it daily. It could be a quote from your favorite author or wise words from someone you know.
3. Choose a support group and stick with them.
Two heads are better than one, right? Sometimes, all it takes is venting out your tension or letting others know that you need reassurance. Often, there are support groups in your community you could join in. But sometimes, you need to look no further, as family and friends are usually the likely candidates to do this job.
4. Attend motivational talks.
There are times that you will need professional help. The most convenient one is to probably hear inspirational speakers, Brad Montgomery recommends. But if you prefer to have a one-on-one session, you could opt to talk to a therapist. Simply talking could help you get going or even help you feel better.
5. List down your wants.
It would be good to see what you want to achieve. In a way, jotting down your goals can push you to cross them out one by one. Post your list in the part of the house where you can always see it. You could also place it in your mobile device, so it you will always have it in the palm of your hand, and it will remind you from time to time.
At the end of the day, it all still depends on you and how you are willing to push yourself to go the extra mile.
